An important component of the Stamps Scholars Program is participation in at least one study abroad experience.
Study abroad experiences may include (but are not limited to) semester, summer, winter break, and year-long abroad programs available through Illinois Abroad and Global Exchange or other campus units. Each student will work to develop a plan that fits his or her interests, goals, and the structure and sequencing of his or her academic plan of study. One of the primary ways that many students utilize enrichment funds is for studying, interning, or volunteering abroad.
Over the past few years, Illinois scholars have studied abroad in places like Ecuador, Ghana, Japan, New Zealand, Australia, Italy, and China.
